Specifically, the XLFO such as LFO Tool vs. I myself haven't found any drawbacks to using these plugs, but I would like to hear if you have experienced or foresee any problems each may have on your productions. Plus, you can draw in different shapes for the LFO and get really creative.Ģ) Cthulu - This is a sequencer/arpeggeator you can route to different instruments/soft synths. NOW, I understand you want the compressor to change the character of the bass, but It's nice to have the option. This will duck the volume of the bass without affecting the overall character of the sound (which is often done with compressor sidechaining). You route the LFO to the volume of the bass track so that it cuts the volume for each beat. Normally, I would use a compressor when I want to sidechain the bass so that it doesn't interfere with the drums (usually kick), but this plug-in does something pretty cool. But the thing I use this most for is for sidechaining bass and drums. I am going to explain them a little and then I ask for your experiences and any positive or negative things you can see with these that I may not have thought about.ġ) LFO Tool - It's basically what it says, an LFO. They are, in my opinion, reasonably priced for what you get. Just wanted to spread the word to those who don't know about these plugs. I recently purchased two plug-ins from Xfer Records and I personally think they are FANTASTIC.
